The Never Moor has some new digs. We moved into our new home this year. We didn’t add any new props, other than the new house. Happy Halloween!
Here is a video of our 2013 haunt.
New props for 2013
I made my wife’s Ford Flex look like a hearse with cardboard cut-out landau bars wrapped in HVAC tape. I made a cardboard casket out of a neighbor’s baby crib box to put in the back of the “hearse.” I used an inexpensive MP3 player and speakers with a voice yelling, “I’m not dead yet. Let me out!” The ghoul driver was an animated prop I made at a previous Rocky Mountain Haunters Gathering with two deer motors moving the head up and down and side to side.
The Singing Pumpkins were a huge hit. You can purchase your own animations at TheSingingPumpkin.com.
Here is our Cloaked Flying Crank Ghost (FCG) for this year’s haunt (2013).
Download the instructions for building the mechanism and marionette from the Rocky Mountain Haunters website at http://www.rockymountainhaunters.com/images/FCG%20PARTS%20LIST.pdf
For the head movement, modify the rear eye hooks so there are two side-by-side rather than just the one in the middle. You will see where to attach the strings to the top of the head and back/bottom of the neck by watching the video.
My 8 year old son helped me build this project in our spare time. We started it in June and finished it just in time for Halloween. We had a great time building it together.
